DDoS Defend Launches New Web Portal for Streamlined Navigation

DDoS Defend is pleased to announce the launch of their new Website portal that provides clients with simplified DDoS protection information, navigation, package choices and ordering/implementation of services. The company provides DDoS proxy protection and DDoS filtering for business, personal and non-profit Websites.

A Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack usually consists of the attacker saturating a targeted Website with external communication requests to overload the server and effectively shut down the Website. As more online businesses depend on continuity of their online services, these DDoS attacks are growing in prevalence. Unfortunately, the cost of solutions for the problem can be prohibitive for many online entities. “We created this service to offer reliable, affordable remote DDoS protection to small businesses, non-profit organizations, and personal Websites as well as large enterprise sites,” said a DDoS Defend specialist. “Our new Web portal makes it easier for potential clients to navigate, understand and choose the services that are right for them.”

Far Cry 3 Preview

At e3 this year, the latest installment in the Far Cry series was being shown exclusively to journalists, with no footage being made public, and simple descriptions from people who have seen the game having to be the only way for a Far Cry enthusiast to find out about the game. Now, not only have Ubisoft, the publisher of the game released this demo footage on YouTube, they’ve also shown an alternate route through the demo, showing a zip-line inside the demo, as well as sniper footage.

The game play shows an ambiguous mission from somewhere in the story, simply showing you starting next to a waterfall with the objective of making it to a helicopter. The player first knocks out an armed guard, taking his money and his weapons, before making it to a massive engagement area full of hostile enemies, scouting the area, and deciding to take the zip-line down instead. Here the first sniper is shown, appearing to look slightly like a dragunov SVD famous from other shooters.

Angry Birds Movie Confirmed

The success that angry birds has enjoyed since its release has been phenomenal, with over 250,000,000 copies downloaded worldwide, and being considered by many the most widely distributed and recognized game. Angry birds managed to achieve this while being an indy game, released mainly through the apple store and other mobile devices, the game has eclipsed mainstream industry giants, showing the world just how popular casual games like angry birds can be.

IMGCap Desktop Applet Version 2

The past few weeks we have been working on upgrading and updating IMGCrave to our version 2 featuring a newly revamped design, a completely new framework, and added a few new features as well!

During this process our addons and desktop applet also had to be updated to suit our new code. Our Firefox and Chrome addons were updated a couple weeks ago and were put online and available for download on our Addons page. For those who have yet to update their addons, we would like to ask you to remove the previous version completely and install the new one as the old one will not work with IMGCrave.

Version 2 IMGCrave Released

We here at IMGCrave have been very busy bringing you version 2 of our site. After weeks of development and design Version 2 IMGCrave is finally here. By now you should have already noticed the new revamped design as well as a few other new features. You will now be able to select and upload multiple images (up to 10) at a time! We are definitely are not yet done with Version 2 yet. We still have a lot planned such as a user system which you can register, upload, and save your images.

Call of duty: Black ops – Annihilation review

The third and final downloadable content for Call of duty (CoD): Black ops was released last Tuesday, with promise of the best set of downloadable maps yet. Although it has been just a few days, the maps have shown their full potential, and any novelty effects have been lost. Included in the map pack are four multiplayer maps, and one map for the zombies game mode. The zombies map is the finale for black ops zombies, which is one of the main causes of the hype behind the map pack, and the online maps are set to include a remake of a popular CoD: World at war map, hazard, and a new map with the same feel as the most popular map in Black ops, drive-in.

Respawn Entertainment Releases First Teaser

In 2009, shortly after the release of Modern Warfare 2 the lead developers of the development studio behind Modern Warfare 2, infinity ward had a feud with Activision in regards to royalty payments. After a series of serious events such as arm guards being called to Infinity ward headquarters, the two lead developers left Infinity ward, and founded their own gaming development company; Respawn entertainment. After the two lead developers left Infinity ward, more than 40% of the studio left, with the majority joining Respawn. Along with many of the senior developers from Infinity ward, Respawn also recruited talent from other major development studios in the industry.

World of Warcraft Free Forever

World of Warcraft is universally known for the scale of its player-base, the addictiveness of the game, and the number of trials that Blizzard are willing to give out. After announcements relating to the decreasing fan base of World of Warcraft, Blizzard (or Activision Blizzard, to be more precise) have decided to rapidly try and combat this. First of all they have decided to extend their essentially infinite trials to be unlimited trials, and secondly they plan to work on new content through expansions at a faster and faster rate, so that players who have “completed” the game have reason to extend their subscription.

Batman: Arkham City Preview

When Batman: Arkham Asylum was released in 2009, it broke the rule that games based on other media had to be completely terrible, with any entertainment value coming solely from recognizing the original media references. Arkham Asylum broke the mold for a super hero game, being an incredible standalone experience for players completely ignorant or uninterested in the world of batman. The game even went on to win a world record, for most clinically acclaimed super hero game of all time. Either way, it shows the game definitely had extreme potential.

Call of Duty: Black Ops – DLC “Annihilation” Announced

Black ops is the biggest multiplayer game currently available on console platforms, with each map pack released so far (first strike, and escalation) having massive download numbers, with millions of players playing simultaneously. The newest, and final map pack released for Black ops – annihilation is set to be the biggest downloadable content package yet, with four multiplayer maps; Drive-in, Hangar 18, Hazard and silo, as well as a new zombie map “Shangri-La” which will contain new weapons, new enemies, new traps and what is assumed to be new power ups.
